They use Termolon, a non-stick coating made from natural minerals. No harmful chemicals are used during the production of Thermolon, 60% less CO2 is emitted and all products are PTFE and PFOA-free. The products of GreenPan are heat-resistant up to high temperatures. GreenPan products can resist temperatures up to 450°C without releasing harmful fumes.
Traditional non-stick coatings consist of a PFTE-layer (chemical substance) which can release harmful poisonous fumes when damaged by wrong use or high temperatures.
